Welcome to Golden Mirage Ranch

Howdy! I’m Buko Pan Guerra, founder of Golden Mirage Ranch, a 5-acre start-up homestead and animal sanctuary nestled in the high desert of Leona Valley, California. I’m an artist, musician, and educator in Los Angeles, California. Co-Founder of the band, The Swords of Fatima, living two lives as an artist and construction manager.

After spending 22 years in the construction industry, I began building my dream ranch from the ground up in 2024. What started as a vision has grown into a community homestead dedicated to animal rescue, education, creativity, and sustainable living.

In just two years, Golden Mirage Ranch has become home to over 50 rescued, rehomed, and lovingly cared-for animals, including goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, cats, and dogs. With the help of friends, volunteers, and community members, we’ve cleared acres of land, built fencing and shelters, created garden spaces, and continue working every day to improve the ranch for both animals and visitors.

Golden Mirage Ranch is more than a ranch—it’s a gathering place for the community. We host workshops, art classes, petting zoo experiences, live music events, axe throwing, goat yoga, rabbit sound baths, and other unique experiences that bring people closer to animals, nature, and one another.

Our online store is an extension of that mission. Every product is inspired by the animals, ranch life, creativity, and homesteading spirit that make Golden Mirage Ranch unique. In addition to our own creations, we are building a cooperative marketplace featuring products from fellow makers and small businesses such as Bukonia, The Swords of Fatima, and other animal, ranch, and nature-themed brands that share our values of craftsmanship, community, and sustainability.

Many of our products are handmade using materials gathered from the ranch or sourced locally whenever possible. Whether you’re purchasing artwork, handcrafted goods, ranch-inspired merchandise, or products from our partner makers, every purchase directly supports the care and well-being of our animals. Proceeds help provide feed, shelter, veterinary care, enrichment, and ongoing improvements to the ranch.

We still have a long journey ahead as we work toward becoming a fully sustainable homestead. Future goals include expanding animal habitats, growing our own vegetables, herbs, and animal feed, completing ranch infrastructure projects, opening a physical ranch store for visitors, and eventually becoming energy-independent through solar power.
